Are you thinking about making a Will or revising a current one?
It is important for everyone to have a Will. Without one, the state will distribute your assets in ways you may not like. A Will is your way of fulfilling your personal wishes.
Many people take care of their loved ones first. Others also include their favorite charities. Many do both. As you review your present Will or prepare to write a new one, please consider Hospice of Siouxland in your estate plans.
Even a few hundred dollars can make a difference in what Hospice of Siouxland can do to help our patients. Naming Hospice in a bequest will provide high quality, compassionate services to relieve suffering and improve quality of life for individuals and families facing advanced illness, end of life and grief.
In addition to Hospice care, donations to Hospice of Siouxland also help us serve patients with services such as:
Palliative Care: This service supports patients faced with a serious chronic illness who do not quality for hospice service. Palliative Care strives to help the patient and their family with community-based support to avoid crisis situations.
Bereavement Services: Offered to families of patients for up to13 months after their loss; the community at large can also benefit through newsletters, support groups for all ages and a children and teen grief camp held annually.
Children’s Comfort Care: Offered to families of young children facing a very serious illness. The goal is to relieve suffering and improve quality of life for the child.
