Leads Health Inc. companies (Hospice of Siouxland; June E Nylen Cancer Center, and Siouxland Paramedics) in the areas of finance, accounting, billing, managing and controlling overall corporate risk, confirming regulatory compliance and delivering information to the various stakeholders that is accurate, timely and relevant. Plays a leading role in building and executing the overall corporate strategy, confirming that revenues and margins continuously improve while costs are tightly controlled. Develops and maintains general ledger, fixed asset, cash management, budgeting, cost and reimbursement accounting systems to assure the protection of assets and the accuracy of information. Provides leadership and direction in the annual independent audit and the analysis of financial information. Exhibits skill in analyzing financial issues and business opportunities and able make logical recommendations based upon findings. Leads by example to accomplish Health lnc.’s philosophy, mission and goals.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required or equivalent work experience. CPA and/or MBA desired. At least five years experience in healthcare finance with progressive responsibilities strongly preferred. Must have an understanding of healthcare operations, the revenue cycle process and third-party reimbursement along with an understanding of system computer applications and personal computer systems and software. Occasional travel within the Siouxland region.
Clinical Nurse Liaison (CNL) will be the primary marketing representative to MercyOne Medical Center, including physicians and other healthcare providers in the hospital. CNL will provide education to hospital staff, physicians, patients and families about Hospice of Siouxland services and the admission process. CNL will work with hospital staff to identify and plan care for patients who qualify for hospice services and will provide clinical evaluation and assessment to determine patient eligibility.
Must be a registered nurse maintaining current licensure in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota as applicable. Two years professional nursing experience strongly preferred. Community health nursing or oncology experience preferred along with one year of home care experience. Admissions or referral-related experience beneficial. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, interpersonal relationship skills, and the ability to problem solve with a variety of disciplines.
Develops, facilitates, and evaluates the Quality Improvement Performance Improvement (QAPI) priorities and goals of Hospice of Siouxland/Siouxland Palliative Care in accordance with the program goals set in conjunction with the Director of Hospice. Utilizes performance improvement methodology and data analysis to assist and guide performance improvement efforts. Assures documentation meets compliance with hospice Medicare Conditions of Participation, CHAP accreditation standards, state licensure and all other regulatory requirements. Develops and tracks outcome measures and participates in revising or creating policies, procedures, education programs, and standards of practice related to patient care. As member of the leadership team, participates in strategic planning, operations, development, direction and coordination of all Hospice and Palliative Care services. Adheres to the principles of Service Care Standards and the philosophy and mission of Hospice in all aspects of job performance.
Must be a registered nurse maintaining current licensure in Iowa, Nebraska or South Dakota as applicable. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Prior experience in health care quality improvement program preferred. Will consider related education or experience. Hospice or Home Health experience preferred.
Requires well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective interface with patients, professional clinical staff and all other related Hospice staff. Must maintains a current driver’s license and auto insurance.
Provides nursing care to patients by utilizing the nursing process and meeting established hospice standards. Accountable for assigned caseload in collaboration with other interdisciplinary team members. Serves as advocate for patient and families. One year of clinical experience in acute care setting or equivalent experience required (additional experience in hospice, homecare or oncology beneficial).
Current RN license required along with basic computer skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills. Need to be CPR and mandatory reporter certified or willing to become certified.
Aide provides patient care and follows plan of care. Assigned territory will be Nebraska. Must have 75 hour Home Health Aide supervised training course or nurse aide training program. Six months experience as a Nurse Aide strongly preferred.
Current CPR status required. Current driver’s license and auto insurance required along with available transportation to travel to patient residences. Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position.
Using clinical nursing knowledge and assessment skills, coordinates referrals and admits patients onto Hospice services. Communicates agency services to health care providers, businesses and community organizations. Approximate schedule is four ten-hour days per week with staggered start times among staff and would be included in the weekend overnight back up on call schedule from 9 PM to 8 AM.
Must be an RN with current licensure in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota as applicable. Must have at least two years of acute nursing experience plus one year of home care experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills are a must! Must maintain current CPR and Adult and Child Mandatory Reporter certification. Adheres to the principles of Service Care Standards and the philosophy and mission of Hospice of Siouxland in all aspects of job performance.
Makes nursing visits to patients in entire geographic service area. Minimum of one year professional nursing experience strongly preferred; critical care nursing experience preferred (additional experience in hospice, homecare or oncology beneficial). Current RN license and CPR status required. Strong clinical and communication skills are needed in addition to strong computer skills.
Full-time position available. Overnight schedule would be approximately 9 PM to 8 AM; would be four 10-hour days, and every other weekend. Time off during the week if working the weekend. LPN supplements the nursing care needs of the patients/families as provided by the RN, and as specified in the plan of care. Serves as an advocate for patients/families.
Must have current LPN license in IA, NE, and SD as applicable. One year professional nursing experience preferred. Current CPR certification and child and adult mandatory reporter certification required. Current driver’s license and auto insurance required along with available transportation to travel to patient residences.
Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position.
Hospice of Siouxland seeks licensed/certified therapists to provide the following complimentary therapies to patients of Hospice of Siouxland. These will be contracted positions in our tri-state service area. Therapist must have their own pet/equipment to provide therapy services.
