Aide provides patient care and follows plan of care. Must have 75 hour Home Health Aide supervised training course or nurse aide training program. Six months experience as a Nurse Aide strongly preferred.
Current CPR status required. Current driver’s license and auto insurance required along with available transportation to travel to patient residences.
Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position. Full-time and contingent positions available. Contingent position has no set hours or schedule; works as needed to cover staff absences.
Provides continuous care to hospice patients and supplements nursing care needs of the patients/families as specified in plan of care.
Available schedule can be either straight nights (6 PM – 6 AM with shift differential available) or rotating day shifts (6 AM – 6 PM) and night shifts on a monthly basis. One year professional nursing experience strongly preferred (additional experience in hospice, community health nursing or oncology beneficial).
Makes nursing visits to patients for assigned team. Minimum of one year professional nursing experience strongly preferred; critical care nursing experience preferred. Schedule includes every third weekend.
Makes after hours nursing visits to patients for entire geographic service area. Minimum of one year professional nursing experience required; community health nursing or oncology experience preferred.
Provides nursing care to patients and is accountable for assigned caseload. Minimum of one year professional nursing experience required; community health nursing or oncology experience preferred.
Hospice of Siouxland seeks licensed/certified therapists to provide the following complimentary therapies to patients of Hospice of Siouxland. These will be contracted positions in our tri-state service area. Therapist must have their own pet/equipment to provide therapy services.
Provides a variety of social work services which include patient/family counseling, networking of available resources, and aligning them with the appropriate services to provide a continuum of care. Requires a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or counseling or related experience. Master’s degree with major course work in social work, psychology, or counseling preferred. Clinical experience of skills relevant to grief and/or loss preferred. Must communicate effectively with all members of the health care team. Basic computer skills necessary.
Hospice of Siouxland provides hospice care to our patients 24/7 and is in need of registered nurses who can work nights and weekends. We are open to part-time, full-time or contingent schedules. Hospice care focuses on bringing comfort, self-respect and quality of life to people in the final months of life. Patients’ symptoms and pain are controlled, goals of care are discussed and emotional needs are supported. Hospice believes that the end of life is not a medical experience, it is a human experience that benefits from the expert medical and holistic support that hospice offers.
We would like to talk to you if you have an interest in providing end-of-life care to our patients in their time of need. You need strong clinical and communication skills. Current RN license and 1+ years of clinical experience in acute care setting or equivalent experience required (additional experience in hospice, homecare or oncology beneficial).
